I cannot understand why the DNC hasn't condemned Sharpton yet.

I had already seen the Sharpton article. Pretty amazing stuff. I am surprised that the story has not received greater circulation.

I think that the DNC is hesitant to go after Sharpton because he bites back. Also, because he has essentially been a non-factor in the primaries. John Kerry does not appear to be generating any significant enthusiasm in the African-American community and I suspect that he is not looking for a Sister Souljah moment. Clinton and Gore had a real connection with the community, Kerry had a Forbes for a mother.

Actually, if American Spirit is an indicator, Kerry may be working up to a Queer Eye moment.

I did read a column over the weekend where the author made the point that Sharpton has proven that he does not measure up to Jesse Jackson. Gee, what a surprise. I have to admit that I like the prospect of him running against Hillary in 2006.
