recent article in Business Week states that the markets are going to determine when the Feds will have to raise(short term rates) in lieu of letting the rate curve become steeper.

FNMIX was down .06 or .44% today, spelling trouble in Brazil and trouble in junk emerging debt. SPHIX and FAGIX in a corrective phase.

I've said that the one thing I am positive of this year is that the yield spread between high yield and safer instruments should become wider. Beyond that I don't have a clue.
