Ray, you greedy, self-centred Americans lack human empathy.

<<<One overpaid person loses their job and dozens of others are better off, including Americans.>>

Especially the unemployed Americans who can get cheap videogames to substitute for a real life. Somehow, I don't quite get the point of this Brave New World that Global-oney is foisting on us.
>

One fat, overpaid American can play video games for weeks before they have to worry about a real life. All the American would need is a water supply and vitamin pill.

Meanwhile, the US$30 per hour that they used to get [many get more than that] can pay 10 x Indians who have so little body fat that they could play video games for only a week before their 'real life' started to become endangered from lack of nutrition.

The 10 x Indians would produce a large amount of software for the same cost as the one overpaid American. Utilitarian analysis would show total human happiness would be greatly improved. Even the American would be happier because they would lose weight without having to pay anyone to come up with a foolish diet such as the Atkins heart disease and cancer creating idea.

The idea is to increase total human happiness.

Do you get it with that succinct explanation? I know one American's happiness is worth that of about 8 hungry Indians, but that still leaves a happiness surplus of 2 Indians.

Welcome back from the wilderness [I see you have made up for lost ground with your posting rate].

Mqurice.
