Revisionist history and inaccurate generalizations. There was not one kind of war protester, there were many. They ranged from Yippies all the way to conservatives. From priests to vets. Kerry was somewhere in the middle leading the vets, and you have no right as an American to disparage those vets. They paid the price for the mistake called Vietnam.

Kerry was not a radical. He worked inside the system. He never advocated revolution, violence, appeasing the enemy or anything like that. On the contrary. That's why it's ridiculous to link him to Jane Fonda.

Kerry killed enemy and saved lives. Some say his vets against the war were the deciding factor in ending that war. The ending of the war was messy but saved thousands of ives. And what choice was there? To continue?

Go back and study your history. Also read The Pentagon Papers. Defending that war is just plain wrong. It was based on the grossest lies starting with the Gulf Of Tonki incident (which never happened). It was all a big mistake. McNamara himself admits it now.

The war protesters were far too radical. They were willing to lie to further their cause. The majority of Americans lost all respect for them at that time.

When U.S. pulled out of Vietnam, we deserted people who had put their lives on the line for us. Vietnam like Korea was necessary to stem the tide of Communism. Sadly, those foolish war protesters stopped us from preventing the slaughter that followed American withdrawal. Millions of Cambodians were also slaughtered. There are some things worth fighting for

Wow! What nonsense. Where were you during the Viet Nam War? Good grief, even the most fervent war supporters had had their belly-full by 1974.
