Yeah, quite true. I think a lot of Americans go to Mexico for medical treatment. Anything related to medical in the US are overpriced. A friend of mine has a nephew, just finished his residency as a surgeon, got an offer somewhere in Houston, paying him $500,000/year.

I usually go back to China for dental treatment, where root canal costs only about 1/30 of the cost here in the US. And in the US, except for the people who work in drug companies, hospitals, and a few tech companies like Qcom, which have excellent dental plan, most of us have to pay a fortune for dental treatment like root canal, etc... the regular health insurance does not cover it at all.

One root canal costs almost as much as a round trip ticket back to China.
