John Carragher was in the Guard and he wrote: He has pay records so he reported.. althought some guy writes in washington post he got paid for not attending drills i never remember anyone getting paid when they missed a drill. usually there was a roaster check off at the start of each drill or if you came in late you signed in at the office otherwise you didn't get paid. Chris, from your previous posts - I notice you say we should be "buying American". I thought this might be something to bring up for discussion here. Are you in favor of only buying American made cars, such as GM, Ford? Would you count Chrysler, now that it is a German company? Just curious. My views have continued to change on this as the economy has changed and evolved. I will tell you it is not a cut-and-dried issue anymore though. I'm in metro-Detroit, BTW, so I see things from the perspective here. t
