He also had some interesting things to say 24 years ago about the U.N. being in charge of any international confrontation and that the U.S. should basically eliminate the C.I.A. These are paraphrased, but his aids have said something to the effect that he was new to politics then and has a better understanding now. Short of Saddam getting back in power and the U.S. going into a depression worse than the one that started in 1929 I think he is toast. Especially with this AWOL and deserter bull crap the dems are embracing.
