Maurice, I don't think you realize the political consequences of asking people about their political attitudes. Some kinds of talk are forbidden and therefore dangerous. You think all the Chinese people you are addressing live far away from China and never go there and have no relatives there. If I were Chinese I'd never answer you. As for Mao, billions of people around the world worship some God or other. The latter chap giveth and taketh away with obscene insouciance. Cruelty and all Gods go together. Malcolm
