Even if a donkey ran against Bush, the Americans would vote a donkey in

Even if a donkey ran against Bush, the Americans would vote a donkey in. That is the rage against Bush and the neo-cons out there.

Thats what I was trying to tell people about a year ago and nobody believed me. There is a tipping point in public opinion and Bush has been teetering on it for his entire term (except the immediate post-911 period).

I thought a year ago that they would find some weapons in Iraq (although I never thought a war was justified)- so my thinking then was that the economy would bring Bush down because I knew no jobs recovery was possible. Instead we got no weapons, and a worse mess in Iraq than I thought. This alone would have caused Bush to lose. But add to the equation all this offshoring which exceeded even my largest estimates a year ago- and Bush is done. I don't think he can win in any industrial state or many southern states like the Carolinas.

Ironically if I were Bush I would spend time with Florida. The passive income people there keep the economy afloat so they are less terrorized by this jobs crisis. But even in the unlikely event that Bush wins Florida, he still needs Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, the carolinas, virginia or tennessee in some combination. These states are economically devastated.
