This National Guard thing is a tempest in a teapot, and badly timed at that. Why are the Democrats using it now, and not in July? I know that if I gave Bill Clinton a pass on draft-dodging, I certainly cannot be made to care if George Bush showed up for every National Guard drill on schedule 35 years ago. I suspect most Americans feel the same.

Mr. Kerry used a virtually unused military regulation to escape 'Nam after only 6 months in country. His 3(superficial-no time off) wounds won him an early out. Then, assigned as an Admiral's Aide in Washington, D.C., he begged his way out of his officers contract and got an early out from the military to camapaign for elective office. And he has the guts to accuse anyone else of shirking his military contract. It has been reported those familiar with his award of the 'Silver Star' were disgusted with the manner it was given. John Fonda Kerry is a con artist ala Bill Clinton without the charisma.
