Ted RE...First, it doesn't make sense because it would have been illegal for German firms to sell WMD to Iraq after 1991. If German firms did sell Saddam WMD clandestinely, then it was without the approval of the German gov't. Therefore, you should be condemning the German firms that violated the sanctions, and not the country.

And this coming from the guy who screams collusion and bribery every time the word Halburton is mentioned. If Germany wasn't involved through collusion, then certainly Germany is guilty of neglect. How could German leaders have stood by, while German businesses were doing ten to fifteen times the amounts of business in WMD; than US businesses were? Especially considering how adamant German leaders were, denouncing war. How often can Germany say "We didn't know" ; before you say, I don't believe you.
