It is competency, a track record of getting things done. We hire a President to give us back our taxes' worth. Not whether he or his wife likes "Broccolli" or not. As Americans we are savvy enough politically to not consider their private lives. Or else Dubya would never have a chance to be President because of his alcoholism. This is a nation which gives everybody a second chance. Dubya got one. Kerry doesn't need on. He has proved himself thrice over with his Purple Heart. If those neo cons consider Ollie North a hero because of his 2 Purple Hearts, then you damn well be sure Kerry is also in there.
