Jerry, I just downloaded the new browser and even though I only had a few bookmarks in my mozilla firebird they migrated over fine. So far no problem. I'm going to try it out for a while and see how it works. As far as improvements, everything looks the same to me.

It looks like Firebird 0.7 has morphed into Firefox 0.8.

What happens if you have Mozilla 1.3 and you install Firefox. Does Firefox upgrade/overwrite Mozilla or do both continue as seperate browsers?
