I want to affirm two things: it is possible for deficits to get out of control, both because debt service can become exorbitant, and because confidence in governmental management can deteriorate; and borrowing is good business, depending on circumstances, and avoiding pitfalls. We have only argued over our current situation, not over whether deficits are always harmless. CK, as is often the case, cannot stand to leave a reasonable position alone, but must stretch it beyond credibility......
