I do not! I have been known to put lemon juice and sugar on it, but usually opt for nothing at all. Salt, too, works well.

Sarkie, actually the story behind this is that I went to college in Missouri after an extended childhood in Southern California. Fast forward. Now back in California, my lunch mates would look at me as though I were a space alien when I would put pepper on my melon. After a few years of this, another lunch mate came on board who, when seeing me indulge in the epicurean oddity, which had seemed quite strange to the others of the lunch brigade, announced, "Holly, you must be from Missouri." More words were exchanged to ascertain just how he could know this during his first few hours with us, and the upshot was that he was also from Missouri and, according to him, only people from Missouri put pepper on their melon. - Holly
