But insisting on Chinese gov. lies on avian flu of human case without ANY solid proof is NOT cooperative! Look, China is a poor developing country. Not until after the dust of SARS has been settled last year, has China started to set up a national surveillance system for epidemic for human beings. And now we are talking about chickens, animals, or even the birds flying on the sky. If anyone, I mean anyone should expect Chinese gov. can somehow magically "invents" a sound surveillance system for animals, then they should have their head examined! No way, not in another 10 years! China has NO that kind of resource. A couple of millions of Chinese die every year of all kinds of disease. So which one should have much higher priority, and which one is not? after all, the resource is limited Is it possible that there is a couple of human cases of bird flu, yes, it is possible. A vast majority of remote rural areas have NO decent hospitals whatsoever, not to mention some decent lab which could test the special type of bird flu. And there are >100 million migrants in China every single day, and there is no way to monitor every single of them, not in a million years! And does that mean Chinese gov. deliberately hiding them?? Of course NOT! And if someone insists China deliberately hides something, be my guest, the fact will be the fact, whether they realize it or not. My suggestion: stepping out from your ivory tower, and be a little realistic. And have some fact before making any assumption
