Republicans behind Gay Marriage as a right wing conspiracy? Ridiculous. Gay Marriage is something liberals want. Why I have no idea. The purpose of marriage is to provide a legal binding contract in the raising of legitimate heirs (children)with both a mother and a father. The last time I checked, gay couple's couldn't have children or produce legitimate heirs, so I really don't understand their need for such a legal binding contract. Gay Marriage doesn't hurt society, other than to shock some people. Gay Marriage is just silly and really serves no purpose for those that do it. If its about obtain benefits or something, there are tons of domestic partner benefits available to boyfriend-girlfriends and homo partners. But hey if Gay Married couples want to pay the Marriage Penalty, thats fine with me and I laugh out loud at them for doing so.
