We now are in an Alice in Wonderland world where language is increasingly abused to hide truth. To Greenspan anything less than 3% official CPI inflation is "no inflation. He is doing everything he can to hike inflation (and thereby make debt more manageable) under the rubric of "fighting deflation." He is an even bigger dissembler than George Bush and that is really saying something.
