JDN, Imus, in his usual humble way, was taking credit for Kerry's political career on his show this morning. After aplogizing to Iranians for saying "who cares?" when they had a plane crash yesterday that killed scores of people. At the time he said "who cares?", he said he was kidding about the crash, but it wasn't one of his funnier statements. His radio wife, Charlie, tsk-tsked him over the thing. But the funniest in recent days was when he had Laura Ingraham (sp) on. She was spinning the WMD discussion back to FDR and Andrew Jackson and every historical Democrat she could slime, but Imus said, "why don't you just admit your guy lied and move on?" And when he asked her about Dubya's runaway scrape in The Air National Guard, he asked why the Grotesque Outrage Perpetrators couldn't find one person who had served with him. (You can find a million guys who claimed they served with Elvis. <G>) Anyway, she made a great answer that got him laughing hard: "we also can't find proof of 3 days in a row when you were sober during the 70s." I hope she comes on his show again. It was fun. For a conservative, she's not a complete idiot and has a sense of humor.
