Bush wants a strong military. That’s not negotiable. Bush has also kicked in some social programs for Democrats. Far too many in my estimation, but none of them measure up to what Democrats want. Next time around, Bush isn’t seeking re-election. Don’t expect things to be quite the same.

Calvin Coolidge (Republican) was the last president
to run a surplus EACH AND EVERY YEAR of his Presidency.

He was also a tax cutter who reduced the top
marginal rate on income taxes to only 25%.
