Do you like her? You didn't say.I'm just wondering if it's differences with her on issues, personality, character, or something else I differ greatly with her on political philosophy. I haven't paid much attention to her since her husband has been out of office, but she still seems to be into nanny government and identity politics. I'm utterly opposed to both of those. I have some lefty friends, though, who don't much like her either. I'm not sure I can tell you why. Whatever conversations we've had about details just didn't register with me because she doesn't interest me much so I can't retrieve them at the moment. I can ask around if you like. Regarding the rest, the best way I can put it is that she bothers me as a feminist. Having been a pioneer as a feminist, I fought the stereotype of early female successes that were of the queen-bee model. She has always struck me as a queen bee. She showed this Leona Helmsley streak when she first moved into the WH that really turned me off. I really hated the incident with the WH travel staff. And she comes across as cold and mercenary. On the plus side, she seems very smart and competent. She also seems to be a "together" person, comfortable in her skin, tough-minded, and able to work through and deal rationally with problems. Those are things I generally admire. I think she has the temperament to be President. I could probably overlook the personality stuff if I agreed with her politics.
