1:40PM Verizon and Nextel settle two lawsuits : Verizon Wireless and Nextel announce that they have reached an amicable resolution of two lawsuits filed last summer. VZ Wireless filed suit against NXTL in June 2003 involving NXTL's use of two v60p handsets in June 2003, and NXTL filed suit against VZ Wireless in Sept 2003 involving VZ Wireless' advertising of its walkie-talkie product. As a result of the settlement, both suits will be dismissed. The terms of the settlement are confidential.
