Kerry was not against the war before he went, he had questions about it. As any thinking person would. He volunteered (could have easily gotten out of it) and fought and led bravely, risking his life, taking three shrapnel hits, losing his best friend, saving mens lives and killing enemy. You want to spin that as cowardly or wrong, bring it on.

So Kerry followed the laws, enrolled, went and killed people there, also saved Americans. Then he came back and protested to the Govt. for their ordering people like him and other American soldiers to kill the Vietnamese. What is wrong with that. Surely if the US Administration at that time is sending troops to Vietnam and the troops were killing the Vietnamese, would you not speak out against the Govt. to order them to stop?

I mean the US Govt. is ordering agent Orange etc. In Iraq, we are getting into a same scenario, where the Iraqis are perceiving the US as outsiders and plotting the bombings. These are rumors being putout bt the detractors and the Iraqis are believing it.
