I'm totally with you on this.

One HUGE problem is that if I remember correctly from my textbooks, the loss of revenue from workforce devastation due to free trade is supposed to be made up with corp profits and new industries blah blah blah.

Well, corporate taxes as a % of GDP are at 30s levels. Corps have been given tax breaks galore over the past 30 years. And worker taxes are bearing the brunt of the huge social security boondoggle which just got INCREASED DRAMATICALLY!!! No high wage jobs in US = corp tax increases, big time to pay for the runaway spending.

So which is the worse evil, legislation to force more jobs or corporate tax increases.
