Face it, the story is weak, phony and Kerry had a great day. Clark's endorsement was very-very strong. "Permission to come aboard, sir. The Army is here."

Clark is obviously saying "take me" for VP or DOD or whatever. Clark can be very effective in protecting Kerry's flank from the chickenhawk wackos against peace, or whomever else tries to call Kerry's patriotism into question.

BTW: Clark totally denied knowing anything Kerry had ever done of a scandalous nature. Drudge claims Clark "openly" said Kerry has an intern problem, but like Bush's Alabama service, no witnesses. Either Drudge made that up or someone else did. Without proof, the story therefore dies and innoculates Kerry from further rumors.
