Yes, I think he has been an excellent Secy. of State but if he retires and Bush is still President he likely would be replaced by someone else thats pretty good. Pres. Bush, regardless of how you feel about his goals, does have the ability to attract highly qualified people around him. He just has that great personality that people like to associate with.
Now if Kerry were to become President the RUMOR is that Clark would be his Secy. of State. I can hardly imagin a person MORE LIKELY to kill the morale in that Dept. Clark, is well known to be of short temper and insistent upon getting all the credit for himself. Not a good situation for underlings IMHO. jdn
