lol...that brings back the memory of the time in the 70s that 3 of us went up to Maine hunting. One of the guys was a huge person that would remind you of a mountain man but bigger. We camped out way up a logging road and after the first day it turned cold as hell so we were hanging around the fire having a drink (done for the day). All of a sudden I hear a shot and I turn around and there is the mountain man with his 30-30 pointed up in the trees. I said what the hell are you shooting at. Turns out he saw a damn red squirrel and decided he wanted to eat it. I had only had grey squirrel back when I was in Alabama and when I was a little kid and it was pretty good. None of us had red squirrel before but old mountain man said that he shot it and he was going to eat it. We said knock yourself out and he went about cleaning the little sucker. He threaded it up on a stick like a hot dog and cooked it on the fire we had going. When it was done he let it cool a little and tried to take a bite out of it. I think he would have had better luck eating the damn tire off a monster truck. That little sucker was so tough that he finally gave up and made another drink and went into the tent. Me and the other nut were laughing so hard we spit/spilled more of our drink than went down the hatch.
