I didn't intend to. I think that they were brilliant answers to the unemployment problem of the 1930s, and I'd love to see projects like them undertaken today. Imagine some of the good that could come of massive armies of youth cleaning up inner city neighborhoods and renovating housing stock, creating community gardens, park environments and hope for the neighborhoods. It would be a brilliant change from the American scheme of letting our physical-built environment constantly fall into ruin.

BTW, Boulder Dam was not a WPA project. It was the first of the major Bureau of Reclamation dams. In fact, it was completed before the WPA was established.
