The ninth richest man in the world,
multibillionaire Phil Anschutz of Denver, is a Christian and
conservative activist. He owns the L. A. Lakers and various
soccer and hockey teams. He is now buying up movie chains
such as United Artists, controlling more movie screens than
anyone, founding Walden Media.

Anschutz promises never to make an R rated movie and his
website states Walden will be "focused on developing and
producing feature films and television programming with
positive messages for all ages." The new company's big
project is to produce faithful features of all seven of C.
S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia.</font>
