It's sociobiology/evolutionary psychology on pretty naked display. And that's interesting!

There are ways in which the producers 'manage' what we see, so the display isn't going to be an entirely accurate reflection of what's gone on, but the basic dynamics are there.

I have heard from someone who knows him that Robert Wright, the (evolutionary psychologist) author of The Moral Animal, never misses Survivor!
