Yes, it is. Back in the days when I would go round and round with JohnM, he steered clear of it. The figures at Duke, almost 100% of the Professors in the Liberal Arts Departments registered at Democrats, speak for themselves.

They always claim that they are "fair" about class discussion, but we get example after example that they aren't.

OTOH, I know of no short term "Cure" for the problem. The "Maze" that a Liberal Arts/SS PHD comes out of is almost guaranteed to produce a person with a leftist outlook. Conservatives don't get degrees in these subjects, and don't get hired if they do. One of the worst splits is in the the ME departments, where a "pro-Pal" outlook is required.
