What perception? Right now we are at the nadir of world relations. The US stands alone and isolated with Tony Blair (not the British people). How low can we go from here. The UN certainly would like to have the US lead. Recall the respect Clinton got from the G7 leaders. He was not a puppet. He told them what to do and they did.

After all they would listen to someone with reverence and respect when that person is the author of global prosperity, economic upliftment etc. Not someone who walks around with a rifle and only talks about killing and carnage.

So what perception has Kerry to change. He follows the law, enrolls for active duty, fights in Vietnam valiantly, comes back and speaks out against the carnage and stands up for the rights of innocent lives. That is the perception people have of him. That perception is asilent one, and people kick that in at the nick of time such as in Iowa and NH.
