during my time they gave out purple hearts for ANY wound suffered in combat EXACTLY, and I am sure you remember how careful we were related to INFECTION so anyone who claims to be wounded 3 times in LESS than 2 mos IMHO wasnt really wounded the way you and I consider wounded. It is QUITE possible it was a ploy to get back to the States early. But whatever, means nothing to me, I dislike Kerry due to his VOTING RECORD in the senate not his Nam experience whatever it was. jdn
