I just identified a NON-FREE-MARKET cause
for the currency crisis in Argentina that
overwhelmed the situation there.

Using your reasoning, if a cancer patient
receives a new treatment for his disease,
goes into remission, and then gets killed
in a car accident when he leaves the hospital,
you would say: "It didn't work for him, that
treatment is no good"!

Pro free trade advocates have an excuse for everything that doesn't go as they believe it should. Deregulation and privatization was NOT a solution for them. At least it didn't act like one. It didn't work.

Deregulation, privatization, and free trade were given only lip service in Argentina. It never had a chance to succeed with the ruling class against it, and the World Bank screwing up the attempts at modernization as they usually do.
The World Bank is famous for sending countries economies into the tank, the big shots steal the money, another failure is racked up, and the citizens are left with huge debt and to wonder what happened.
