Once again you insult; that is, if you meant Al, John, Z, et al when you refer to the left.

Actually, that was not directed at you guys, you at least know what the issues are, even though we disagree.

I'm refering to the MTV "rock the vote" crowd (for example), that wouldn't vote otherwise, but they respond to a buzz issue like that. The people that were in those protest marches, but had no idea what the thing was they were marching for.

You get the idea.

However it is also stupid to claim that our army was there "because of the oil". Frankly, if it was about the oil, we would have pressed to have the sanctions lifted.

We would have? Why?

There is an enormous difference between having control of the oil and having saddam control the oil with UN interference.
