Exactly, the rightwing still defends Iran-Contra and BCCI Bank as somehow "patriotic", even though they traded missiles to Iran (Axis Of Evil?), the BCCI Bank also laundered money for drug cartels and terrorists and the Contra leaders trafficked cocaine themselves, while the Olie North operation foiled the DEA's biggest ever sting operation against the Medellin Cartel. Meanwhile Nicaragua did just fine without the secret war taking its course. Go to Nicaragua now and have a great time. Not too many big corps destroying the environment so it's like Mexico 40 years ago. Nice. John Kerry alone and against Democratic special interests fought and brought BCCI and Iran-Contra down. As a presecutor he's as tough as Guliani.
