Hi DJ, I think, in many ways, the US and China are linked in such a fashion, together with Japan, that when a separation happens, ... arggg, as in ouch, oh no, ...
China saves, builds, makes;
US borrows, consumes and fights;
Japan finances, and then
... we don't know, but we will find out.

The appropriate premise may be that today's Japan is not Japan of the last 100 years, today's US is not the US of last 200 years, and today's China is not the China of last 300 years. We then watch the script develop starting from this premise.

Alternatively, we assume all is as it was, and will be.

The truth, hiding amongst the facts, should be within the limits of the extremes, unless of course, as I often remind myself, we lack imagination.

I suspect that TeoTwawKi, seductively dressed, beckons.
