Nevada is an interesting state politically. They are quite concerned with the environment yet tend strongly toward the Republican candidates. Bush's lies about Yucca Mt. may have educated the residents as to which party has the better record on the environment.

My husband and I bought a condo on the Nevada side of the lake in the north shore area and had to sign documents that mandated that we would not burn anything but natural wood in our fireplace.Paper pellets are not allowed and apparently artificial wood products are outlawed also. There is even a movement to ban charcoal fires in the Carson Valley due to the pollution they cause . The Reno airport is a thorn in the backside of many residents and adds to the air pollution. Of course they have been inundated with Ca folk that have moved up there to buy the cheaper homes and that has brought increased pollution so the natives are restless!!
