I firmly predict that a new emotion will sweep this country when the Gold Star Mothers, from this wrongful Iraqi War, come knocking on the doors of the White House. Thanks for the input and compliment. I guess that I came on board this morning doubly upset.. more then usual because of an article I read in the Sunday Herald.. Written by James Pinkerton who served as a deputy assistant for policy planning for the President... and who is a fellow at the New America Foundation Los Angeles Times-Washington Post. It is entitled ARE WE WINNING THE MINDS AND HEARD OR LOSING BOTH. At the conclusion of his article was the story of our soldiers lined up with their guns pointed at civilians..and because of the protestors throwing rocks and saying THERE IS NO GOD BUT ALLAH, AMERICAN IS THE ENEMY OF GOD AND FURTHER CHANTING HELL TO THE AMERICANS, thus provoking our boys to shoot into the crowd killing and wounding civilians ....women and children...I WAS UPSET. And all Americans should be upset...forgetting Democrat,Republician,Liberal or whatever names we call one another. As death of our men and dying of innocents continues are we going to ever bring true democracy to IRAQ... After all if we could conquer IRAQ in two weeks why couldn't elections be held in 15 months ? MAybe the current administration is afraid of the election results. After all if would not be good for our President's own election results if post SADDAM HUSSEN IRAQ elected a FUNDAMENTALIST ISLAMIC CLERIC complete with beard,turban and ANTI- AMERICAN ZEAL... At this juncture no on knows when the IRAQIS who have no government will stop expressing their displeasure at our presence, including, SADLY,terroristic violence... NO body knows when it will be stanched but apparently NOW WE AMERICNS CANNOT DO ANYTHING TO STOP IT. Suma
