I have no racial agenda at all- racial issues are very low priority for me. I don't think Sharpton ( or anyone else) would be likely to muck about as badly overseas- and quite frankly racial progress, though important, is not very high on my list of priorities for this election. I doubt he could be worse than Bush in terms of budgets, and in fact might be better, since I suspect he would spend domestically, but not EVERYWHERE, as Bush is doing. An added plus is that I would think him unlikely to engage in foreign adventures- a very desirable quality for a candidate, in my book.

Since the two most important things to me are restraint, in terms of our military, and the budgets, I have a very hard time imagining any candidate worse than Bush. I am sure somewhere there ARE some, obviously some of Bush's advisors, who would do even more than Bush is doing, would be worse, but no one running against him would be worse, imo. I am glad Sharpton is not the choice, I detest him (for the things he has done), but detest what Bush has done far far more. Please try to read this the way I wrote it- I do not detest Bush the person, since I do not know him, but I do most extremely detest what he has done to my country, and to the world. Many people feel the way I do. Many people will vote for anyone but Bush. It's not amazing at all, it is simply the by-product of Bush's policies.

Have you seen Sharpton's latest flap? He's not on the Louisiana primary ballot because he didn't have enough between the ears to fill out the form correctly. He put in a wrong phone number, didn't provide a campaign address, didn't provide his name as he wanted it to appear. Sent a check for the wrong amount, postdated for Feb. 29, and it wasn't a cashier's check, money order or cash as per LA instructions.

So what's he do? File a lawsuit, of course, saying LA is trying to disenfranchise black voters by keeping him off the ticket. There's nothing like taking responsibility for one's screw-ups. Al, the role model.
