Not libelous at all; there are special legal rules (the New York Times v. Sullivan doctrine) in play for folks such as Kerry and other "public figures" that make libel suits very difficult for them to pursue.

There are no such rules in the UK. Since the intern story is being published in the UK, the dailies there have probably made a determination either that (1) the story is true and there is no libel or (2) for political considerations, Kerry won't sue. Probably the latter.

The question of left wing media bias is a serious one since there is no doubt that any US newspaper would win any suit for libel filed by Kerry. More importantly, we are not even seeing any reports dealing with the mere fact that the issue has come up in the web, which is in my view very, very unusual.
