Probably just as well that we agree to disagree on this and let it go at that. You seem like a decent person and it's just not worth getting into a pissing match over a few people that could probably give a damn less about us both any way.

Btw, If I never thread a damn piece of pipe again in my life it will be too soon!

Later...

Choosing Liberman was an odd choice?!? I mean, Conn. voted for Clinton twice and his state is in the Northeast, probably the strongest region for the Democrats. I don't know how Liberman was an asset to the Gore ticket? He should have chosen Bob Graham of Florida, a state he had to win as we all learned all too well in the post 2000 election debacle. Also, Graham could have helped in some other close Southern and border states like Louisiana, Arkansas, West Virginia, etc. If anything a solid liberal northeastern stiff like Liberman probably hurt the Dems in the South. Southerners don't tend to like liberal Northeastern intellectuals, even if they liked Gore, they might have voted against the ticket because of Liberman.

There's a lot of speculation that Kerry will pick John Edwards as his running mate this fall, but someone pointed out to me that Bob Graham of Florida would be the perfect VP for the ticket. If Kerry can win all the states Gore won and pick up Florida, he wins in November (even with the electoral college shift in favor of Bush). Why Graham? He's a very popular politician in Florida. He has the weight to swing the state into Kerry's column, especially since it's a pretty evenly divided state to begin with. There are serious doubts whether John Edwards can deliver his home state of North Carolina (another scenario that would swing the election into the Kerry camp's favor, but unlikely as the Junior NC senator is rather weak). Don't be surprised if the 2004 Democratic ticket is Kerry/Graham.
