A friend and I considered buying a 60 acre island in Canada a few years back for vacation and investment purposes. The more we thought about it though, the more complicated being surrounded with water became. The island was completely uninhabited and didn't have a house and the only way to get anything there would be by boat.

I've also lived in Denver and Minneapolis (Roseville). Denver weather is real nice. Minnesota was way too cold and the memory of it helped sour the idea of buying property in Canada also. Denver was more fun. I lived with 3 women and a little girl. I didn't have a relationship with any of them, but there was one of the them I sure would have liked to of. They kept the house clean and were always cooking though, which was nice.
