If the whole thing is consentual then nobody was manipulated. This is really in the definition of the words.

Maybe you are confusing yourself over the fact that someone can choose a relationship based on inadequate or false pretenses, kind of like mainstream people choosing Bush based on his 2000 campaign ads. That is still manipulation.
