I'm a firm believer that health care should be distinct from employment but I sure as hell don't want to depend on the state for it. After years of investigating various drug companies and medical device companies I'm convinced that the government already has far too much control over our healthcare options simply by deciding to cover or not cover various medical procedures under Medicare and Mediaid. They can make or break an option and these decisions are decided not by you and your doctor but by committee. The only thing that will resolve this kind of problem which also exists under private insurance is to have medical care be paid for directly by the person consuming it.
