yup
although it would be hard to fix Afghanistan, it certainly would have been a much more worthy goal than making another mess in the same neighborhood. Saddam kept the lid on ethnic violence in Iraq, and we took the lid off, instead of trying to finish what we started in Afghanistan. We will be blamed for that, and we may have created a situation that will spawn more violence directed at the US.
