Rat Dog,

I am an insurance agent in the South (Miami). Companies are making a mint on the exposure here. :( :( They have moved to modeling since Andrew in 1992. While it was devastating.... the Carolina's have seen more storms then we have. FREE MARKETS are what we need, None of OUR politicians have the yo yo's to do that. Yes prices would rise to scary levels, but free markets would bring companies in because all that are there are making big $$$$ right now. Just one thought.

I am saying that frivolous lawsuits have had a big impact on the premiums. How many ads do you see in your area that
advertise getting an attorney for various reasons. Everyone today wants to get involved in this "I am a victim
ideology".

You don't suppose 9/11 also may have had something to do with higher insurance premiums.

Insurance companies by the way can't survive unless they make money. Should we have some kind of liberal argument over how much any company should be allowed to make on its
products or transactions. This same argument is going on today with the pharmacutical industry and drug prices.

All we need today is more government intervention.
