Erik, re: Worse than what? Being gassed by your government or hung in the public square? The "worse" is a possible civil war, decreased stability throughout the governments of the middle east, a whole new generation of terrorists, huge US domestic debt, a weakening of the NATO alliance and a strenthening of the European Union, with their own army, an unsustainable US foreign policy, worldwide hatred of the US... And those are just a few things that I can see evolving. Guaranteed there are many more that I can't anticipate. John
