(Releads with industry source on Merck)
FRANKFURT, April 19 (Reuters) - German drugmaker Merck (XETRA:MRCG.DE - News) is not interested in buying U.S. giant Pfizer's Heumann unit or any other firm focussing on Germany, an industry source said on Monday after Heumann said the two had talked.

Merck said in February it would look to buy generics companies and licences for prescription drugs after selling its U.S. lab distribution business for $1.68 billion, and sources told Reuters last week it was in due diligence with some firms.
