The slave owners and traders of the old Confederacy would be APPALLED at the out-of-hand, contemptuous racism of your left wing heros...

This is only because the owners and traders of the old Confederacy were obviously utter racists themselves and would likely be shocked to see their racist tradition continuing in 21st century leftists (of all people).
